Our residential Carriage House Garage Doors come in six unique series, available in stain grade and paint grade designs. We offer a large variety of Commercial Garage Doors as well, always built with each job’s individual circumstances taken into astute consideration.

American Legends

Here’s what makes the American Legends line so unique compared to other similarly priced doors on the market. Our doors feature:

Beautiful Smooth Finish, NO Stamped Fake Woodgrain. The single largest difference between the American Legends and all the competition is the lack of the awful fake woodgrain our competitors stamp into the face and overlays of their doors. Fimbel door sections are clad with a vinyl film and our overlays are smooth PVC. Here’s why:
  1. It prevents rust.
  2. The doors have the look of a real wood door that has been painted white, and
  3. Using our advanced manufacturing methods, we deliver this value at a competitive price.
Big and Beautiful 30” Top Section with Glass. Most of the other products are only available with a 24” top. Our door appears more like a traditional carriage door with the large glass. It is also available with a 24” top if that is what is preferred.


Durable Solid One Piece Grille. Most of the other doors offer a snap in grille. This means the window is a large opening and then a plastic piece for the muttons (grids that make the windows) is inserted. Those plastic grille inserts can break, crack or fall out. If they don’t have an insert, then they most likely have seams that weaken the structure and open it up to expansion and contraction.

Solid PVC Overlays. Fimbel overlays are solid PVC with a coped edge for detail. Many of the other doors offer hollow overlays. As the door opens you can see they are light and hollow.

Precision Design — Need a New section? No problem! Folks accidentally drive into their garage doors all the time. Snow plows also collide with doors quite often here in the Northeast winters. While other manufacturers will make you replace the entire door, or a large part of it often sending you decorative elements featuring double-sided tape that is temporary at best — Fimbel’s precision construction makes it easy to replace just the damaged section that we manufacture to all the original specifications and your door will line up like new.

Paint Options. American Legends doors can be left unfinished, factory finished, or field finished with AST DIY Paint Kits or white exterior latex. Exposure restrictions must be followed with any color other than white. The Paintable Upgrade is not necessary with the American Legends.

  • The Standard White Door can be left unfinished, factory finished, or painted in the field, but MUST ALWAYS BE PAINTED WHITE
  • The Paintable Upgrade Door can be left unfinished, factory finished in any color that follows exposure restrictions for that color or field finished with AST DIY Paint Kits in any color.
Saltwater Safe — and warrantied! Fimbel doors are made for the shore! Thanks to the vinyl coating and overlays, being close to the ocean will not void your warranty or offer a reduced warranty.
